Vintage PINOCCHIO Composition Doll Disney

Description

This is a listing for  a
9"(23 cm.) All-composition Pinocchio doll with swivel head,sculpted classic Pinocchio features,sculpted brown hair with forelock curl,"O"shaped downcast eyes,elongated nose,slightly stuck-out ears, jointed shoulders. The arms and legs are sculpted to appear as though wood-jointed at elbows and knees in puppet style. He has painted yellow gloves and green shoes. Markings on the head:

Very good condition with some slight rub marks at neck.
I believe this one is Circa 1940, licensed by Disney as a promotional doll for the animated film. I also believe this was made by Knickerbocher toys.
