    Description

    Here is a handsome coffee table style photography book covering famed Chicago Blues club Theresa's Lounge--home away from home for Junior Wells, Buddy Guy and a number of others.  Also shown are the Checker Board Lounge and the 1815 Club which adds Hubert Sumlin, Muddy and several others.  Marc PoKempner got the OK from Theresa to take candid shots of the artists and the clientele--nice one-page summary of how he got access and what the camera challenges entailed.  Wolfgang Schorlau fronts the book with some historical notes.  95pp by Prestel copyright 2000 and printed in Germany on acid-free paper.
    No writing inside just some yellowing on the edge of some pages, the bottom cover bump shown and the dustjacket corner tear shown.  12" by 9.75".  Ships media rate.
