    large antique butcher hatchet, 8.5" edge, high carbon forged steel, heavy duty. It is very old, with years of use that appear to have enhanced this piece. Full tang, thick wood grips, are firmly attached. A marvelous find that I probably should keep,( can't keep 'em all!) rare and one of a kind. There is nothing currently made that can come close to this unique blade.
