The all new Cybex Aton 2 integrates popular safety technology from Europe now available in the United States!
The Aton 2 incorporates a Load Leg and Linear Side-Impact Protection (LSP). The Load Leg deploys from under the Base of the Aton 2 and extends to the floor of the vehicle. After installing the Aton 2 Base with the patented Belt Tensioning Plate which helps to insure a secure installation with either LATCH or vehicle belts, simply extend the Load Leg to the floor of the vehicle for unsurpassed safety. The Load Leg provides additional coupling between the Aton 2 and the vehicle, to pick up and distribute the crash forces more quickly and effectively in a crash. Additionally, the Load Leg tremendously reduces forward rotation of the infant seat on impact keeping your baby in the prescribed more upright position, which reduces stretching on the spine caused if the seat pitches too far forward.
The energy absorbing shell, fully lined with EPS foam, provides enhanced side impact protection. The addition of the Linear Side Impact Protection (LSP) transfers the initial impact to the shell more quickly, allowing the shell to absorb and transfer the energy away from your baby,
improving safety in a side impact collision by up to 40%.
The Aton 2 is suitable for babies from 4 to 35 pounds, and up to 30 inches tall. With the removable Infant Insert and removable Infant Inlay, the Aton 2 offers optimal height adjustment for a perfect fit as well as superior comfort and support for newborns.
