    Description

1967 Chevy Impala 2 door fastback with the original 327 V8 and Powerglide transmission. Nice factory option list includes, in addition to the upgraded engine: AC, power brakes, power steering, and tilt steering column.
Car needs a restoration but it runs, drives, stops, is registered with clean title, and has no structural rust or cancer at all that I know of. All floor pans are good and trunk pan has surface rust only.
Engine wise, it starts and runs well, odometer reads approx. 65k but it is unknown if this is real mileage. Leaks a little oil but it's the original vin-matching engine that has never been rebuilt. Good compression, good power. Has new carb, air cleaner, radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, the upgraded 7 bladed fan and clutch from a 60s Corvette, new water pump, new 110 amp alternator with upgraded main charge wire, ALL new wiring harness in the engine bay, new high torque starter, new battery and battery tray, new master cylinder. Heater core was leaking slightly so is bypassed. AC does not work and compressor was removed to make it easier to access the engine but will be included in the car. Has new stainless steel gas tank and filler neck. Carb sits on a one inch phenolic spacer to prevent fuel boiling when the car is parked in delightful 110 degree northern California summers.
Interior: front seat has splits in the vinyl. If you're a perfectionist it could use a new interior. Right now it's all original: some splits in the dash and worn carpet but everything is intact. AM radio works but speaker is original and sound quality is rather poor. Clock doesn't work and gas gauge functions but reads lower than actual.
Body: original paint readily shows its age. It's faded but it's all there and so is the trim and badging. Could use new paint and new gaskets/seals around the doors and windows and maybe a coat of woolwax on the undercarriage and it's ready for any type of weather.
It's a pleasure to drive, I'm just a perfectionist and have too many other cars that are closer to being done that I need to focus on instead.
