    Description

Attention all Model A aficionados, for your consideration, I offer this fine example of what is arguably the best of the breed. An early 1931 Ford Model A DeLuxe Roadster in original unrestored survivor condition.
At this point, you should have a lot of questions. I’ve owned the car since 1970 so I have answers, and I think you’re going to like them.
I purchased the car in California and brought it home to New York. In 1975, I moved to New Jersey and have the title from that time. The car has seen parades and club events since then. At its peak, my collection consisted of five A’s. I performed all maintenance and restoration work myself.  My Fordor sedan was used in a Ford Motor Company private event. My Phaeton won fist in class at Hershey. They’ve been sold so don’t ask for them. This one is harder to part with, but it is time.
    It’s only original once.
This car is an original unrestored survivor. I assume it is numbers matching as the body has never been off the frame and I restored the engine myself. All sheet metal is original and believed to be original to the car. It has the original welting around the gas tank, the original lead around the windshield support. Cowl lamps, wind wings, windshield stations, fender well brackets, and trunk rack are all original. It even has original valve stems on the wheels. If you’re wondering why I point this all out, this might not be the car for you.
I personally rebuilt the engine with the assistance of a local machine shop. It showed no signs of a prior rebuild so it is assumed to be original. It was bored and sleeved to ensure all parts were done to original specifications. I also personally rebuilt the transmission, steering, shocks and wiring. The original connectors were retained including the ones for the cowl lamps. I removed the second taillight installed by a previous owner. At this point, you know why.
The odometer is not original to the vehicle therefore does NOT represent the true mileage.
The car is also listed in other venues, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.  The car may be viewed in Westwood/River Vale, NJ.
Depending on your vision for the the car, you may want to peruse my inventory of additional parts. Original, restored, I even have some “service” parts that were issued by the factory to solve common problems. No additional parts are included in this auction.
Thanks for looking, and I welcome any further inquiries you may have.  Happy bidding!
